For almost everyone this was their first Salon. It was an occasion to enjoy the music and have personal conversations with the performers. There was anticipation and a great deal of curiosity. The grand room was decorated to resemble the open curtains of a public stage. Two large pots with tall plants set the edges of the stage, and a long Japanese scroll affirmed the quality of the space. You may experience a short version of the sounds and rhythms of the night in the video, and meet the people in the photo gallery below.
