Welcome! You’re a Salon Fan Now

The next musical salon on Sunday, November 17, will offer a brief but intense journey into the spiritual roots of peoples with amazing histories: African, Indian, and Persian. Their music is soulful. It transmits a message that has travelled from the earliest days of their history, and merges today beautifully with our modern sensitivities. The music of Persia will be the gift from Saman Mahmoudi playing the Tombak (Persian Drum) and Dulcimer. The music of India will be brought by the Dhaa School of Music Quintet, playing the Tabla (Indian Drum) accompanied by violinist Julian Nguyen. The African continent will be represented by Sonja Branch and Dethie Diouf, and the West Africa Percussion Ensemble. More than any previous Salon, this program affirms the slogan that ‘music is the universal language that unites us all’.

The Salon at the Garden is a space for friends to enjoy the arts, share with the artists, build community, and for a few hours be part of an amazing creative experience. We open our house in the spirit of pure friendship and to make a very small contribution to the nurturing of talented individuals.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. first performance at 6:00 p.m.
